Sydney Juniors can lay claim to being the state's top Under 16 team after defeating NSW Schools on the final day of the National Championships in Brisbane.

Sydney Juniors came out on top in an all-NSW encounter defeating NSW Schools 22-7, while NSW Country also enjoyed a final day victory with an 11-7 win over the Brumbies to claim the Nick Farr-Jones Shield.
Queensland has captured the Rod Macqueen Shield for the first time with Queensland Red defeating Queensland White 29-10 in the tournament Final.
In a further boost for the side, Queensland Red flanker and captain Liam Gill was later announced as the Player of the Tournament.
The National Indigenous team showed the promising state of junior indigenous Rugby in Australia by defeating South Australia 29-20 in Division 2 to claim the John Eales Shield. National Indigenous remained undefeated throughout the week long tournament.
In other matches and Western Australia edged out Victoria 13 -12, while Northern Territory were far too good for Tasmania in their 40-3 victory.
