Rugby Tag
Rugby Tag is an exciting, new sport that allows people of all ages and sizes to enjoy rugby and get fit.
Rugby Tag has been designed to closely mirror the sport of Rugby while at the same time enjoying all the non-contact aspects of touch football or oz tag. It’s a game for anyone, be they fast or slow, short or tall, young or old.

HSBC Waratahs head coach Ewen McKenzie said the key to the new game is in its Rugby-specific aspects.
“The point of difference between Rugby Tag and other non contact sports is in what it offers – things such as lineouts, uncontested scrums, and kicking on any tackle,” McKenzie said.
“Also, instead of playing the ball the person in posession must have it “ripped” from them like in a Rugby maul.
“Rugby prides itself on having a position on the team for all shapes and sizes – this takes it a step further again as Rugby Tag can be played by mixed teams as well.”
