What Accreditation Do I Need…?
To coach Pathway rugby? (U6 to U12)
To coach junior rugby? (U12 to U19)
To coach senior rugby? (Suburban, Colts, Grade, Country Zones)
To referee Pathway rugby? (U6 to U12)
To referee junior rugby? (U12 to U19)
To referee senior rugby? (Suburban, Colts, Grade, Country Zones)
To touch judge rugby? (all levels)
To satisfy competition rules that require a club-based referee?
To coach Pathway rugby? (U6 to U12 – Walla, Mini, Midi)
Attendance at a
SmartRugby course
is the minimum compulsory requirement for anyone coaching Mini and Midi.
Attendance at a
Junior Player Pathway course
is recommended for anyone coaching Walla, Mini or Midi (this course incorporates SmartRugby).
To coach junior rugby? (U12 to U19)
Attendance at a
SmartRugby course
is the minimum compulsory requirement for anyone coaching junior rugby.
It is recommended that anyone coaching junior rugby should obtain
Level 1 Coach Accreditation
. The first step to obtain this is to attend a
Foundation course
(this course incorporates SmartRugby).
To coach senior rugby? (Suburban, Colts, Grade, Country Zones)
Attendance at a
SmartRugby course
is the minimum compulsory requirement for anyone coaching senior rugby.
It is recommended that anyone coaching senior rugby should obtain
Level 2 Coach Accreditation
.
To referee Pathway rugby? (U6 to U12 – Walla, Mini, Midi)
Attendance at a
SmartRugby course
is the minimum compulsory requirement for anyone refereeing Mini and Midi.
Attendance at a
Junior Player Pathway course
is recommended for anyone refereeing Walla, Mini or Midi (this course incorporates SmartRugby).
To referee junior rugby? (U12 to U19)
Attendance at a
SmartRugby course
is the minimum compulsory requirement for anyone refereeing junior rugby.
You MUST go on to obtain
Level 1 Referee Accreditation
if:
you wish to join a referee association and referee regularly,
or
for some reason your club or school want you to be accredited.
TO referee Senior rugby (Suburban, Colts, Grade, Country Zones)
Attendance at a
SmartRugby course
is the minimum compulsory requirement for anyone refereeing senior rugby.
You MUST go on to obtain
Level 1 Referee Accreditation
if:
you wish to join a referee association and referee regularly,
or
for some reason your club or school want you to be accredited.
Most referee associations will expect that you will go on to gain
Level 2 Referee Accreditation
as soon as practicable
To touch judge rugby? (all levels)
While you can touch judge rugby without accreditation, you must have
Level 1 Touch Judge Accreditation
if:
you wish to report on foul play during a game,
or
your club wishes to satisfy competition rules that require accredited touch judges.
To satisfy competition rules that require a club-based referee?
The minimum requirement needed is attendance at a
Foundation course
. SmartRugby is incorporated into this course.
